When? June 25, 2012
What for? An afternoon of shopping — another gift card, woo-hoo! — and watching Brave at the local movie theater (Loved Brave, BTW, loooooved it. And Sam has a lifelong crush on redheads.) I’ll post all the shopping details tomorrow, plus some extra window-shopping. So today, I took the plunge and did something different. I wore denim-on-denim, but whew, it turned out ok (no Canadian tux here!) because of the color difference of black denim on the bottom and light denim on the top.
And that impossibly cute kitty? That’s the Jason Wu for Target t-shirt I got back in February, back when it was new, and the kitty was black. Even after following the washing directions exactly, the colors still faded — a common problem, so I’ve read in several reviews. But, as Sam like to call it, the t-shirt now looks “vintage-y.”

I actually like the look of that t-shirt being a bit more faded! That was one thing I wish I had gotten when that collection came out! I should check the thrift stores for it.
I was lucky to get this shirt! I actually like it faded, too.
The one item I wish I had gotten from the Jason Wu collection was the kitty bag, but all the bags were out within seconds.
Love this outfit, casual and chic.
Thanks so much Steph! It’s funny, I felt kind of adventurous combining two denims together, but really, it comes off as quite simple. Why haven’t I been doing this the whole time?!
