No outfit pics of what I wore yesterday, because I wore the same outfit to work that you can see here in a previous post. But I wanted to show pics of a new hairdo I tried out, one that is soooo easy.
Date? August 2, 2012
What for? A work day. I fell asleep last night with wet hair, thereby waking up this morning with really puffy, frizzy hair. With not much time to get ready for work — this is a recurring theme, because I am NOT a morning person — I tried out this really easy hairdo. I started out with a basic ponytail, but didn’t pull my hair all the way out. That left a lot of hair ends sticking out, which I just looped and pinned around the top of the hair elastic. Then I smushed down the puffy bit (technical term) and pinned it on either side to create a smooth, bun-like shape. And when I unpinned my hair after work, I was left with a really bouncy, ’50s-tastic ponytail. Unexpected pretty!
Details: All the equipment needed for this hairdo: 6 small bobby pins and 1 black hair elastic. I didn’t even bother using a brush to comb out my hair; I just scraped it back with my fingers, which I think helped maintain volume.

Love this! I have never thought of pinning the ends. Makes so much sense though. Will have to try it!
Thanks Laura! I like that this style is a combo of a ponytail and a bun — the best of both worlds
