Silver and black inspiration

Date?  August 15, 2012

What for? For work at the library. An outfit inspired by Silvergirl, who was inspired by this past week’s Inspiration Monday challenge. I’ve had this black top for a long time, and I really like the ivy pattern with the lace edges. A bit of a sporty look for work, which suited me fine today. It was hard to drag myself out of bed this morning! I also added my bright red cardigan, as I don’t generally like to go sleeveless at work.

Also, do you spy those bee-YOO-tiful silver hoop earrings? They’re Sam’s birthday gift to me — following an, ahem, strong hint from me when we were last at the Portland Japanese Garden gift shop. So light and silvery and lovely (see the close-up below). They’re part of the Favor Jewelry line by Monika Reed, right here in Portland, and by looking on their online shop, I basically want everything she makes. Is that another strong hint? (Yes.) ♥
