Be my guest: Franishh

Just a reminder to everyone that I’m on vacation this week. Hope you enjoy the guest posts! Jen

And next, please welcome the adorable Fran @ Franishh, whose personal blog has a variety of style posts and ideas, including fun do-it-yourself nail art.

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to be guest posting while Jen is on vacation. I’m Fran – I blog over at Franishh about my challenge of wearing fun outfits in a job that really limits what I can wear to work. I work in a pharmaceutical research company which requires me to be in the laboratory 90% of the time. I’m obligated to wear a lab coat, pants, and flat, closed-toed shoes. My challenge is not getting stuck in a rut of blue jeans and t-shirts, so I started my blog to hold myself accountable.

Since I can’t wear cute skirts or dresses, I try to have fun with jeans. Many days I wear black skinny jeans (they go with everything!) but have branched out to pinkgreen and maroon jeans as well. I’m also looking for some fun printed pants (do you have any suggestions?). I’ve also been trying to branch away from just plain black ballet flats although they continue to be my go to! My tan penny loafersbright pink loafers and leopard smoking flats allow me to play around with footwear while keeping my feet safe. ;)

I also like to have fun with my nails, even if they are covered by gloves most of the day! I hope you stop by and say hello – I love meeting new people!

Fran

Hi Fran! I love that you don’t let your work restrictions make you lazy about what you wear. As for printed pants, have you seen the ones Old Navy has? They’re crops which I don’t know if you can wear to work or not, but they’re super cute!
