Back to school

To me, summer lasts until school starts, and our fall term up here starts on Monday. Yay! I was one of those kids who was always so excited to start planning outfits for the new school year… a joy that I still get to indulge in again every year since I’m an academic librarian.

Also in personal updates:  by the time this post is live, I will have officially started my new job! Mix in a lot of excitement, a little (ok, a lot) of nerves, a big smile, and accidentally drop in Chemical X — whoops, scratch that last bit. Today is in-service and convocation, and classes start Monday. My new job title is Faculty Librarian (squeee!), just so you’re down with the lingo. What does that mean for this here blog? A lot more work outfits!

So to help calm any nerves, I’ve been thinking about ideas for first-day-of-term outfits… obviously, I’m digging the stripes and pencils (of the skirt variety). Of course, I’ll keep you posted on what I end up choosing.
