Hearts aflight

The best jump shot Sam’s ever captured! :)

When?  October 2, 2012

What for?  October, whaaa?! Today was the day for “Whoops, we haven’t switched over the calendar yet. Oh yeah, it’s October! What happened again to September?”

Second week of fall term, second time to break out the heart sweater. Obviously, I ♥ this ♥ sweater. And I pulled out one of my favorite tricks, layering a top over a dress. (You can see the dress in full in this post.) And my mom would be SO proud at the color coordination going on here… the grey flats match the grey in the sweater, and the pink heart matches the pink pattern of the dress. I’ll say it again, with pride:  I am my mother’s daughter. :D

Details?

  • Print dress:  JCPenney, gift from my mom last year
  • Heart sweater:  Old Navy, new
  • Grey flats:  DKNY via Macy’s, last year
  • Light pink bar earrings:  Made by a friend in Wisconsin

Thanks Lindsay for stopping by! The red-and-navy version of this sweater was on my Autumn Wish List, but they only had the grey-and-pink when I went to our local Old Navy branch. I would actually like BOTH versions, but already this sweater is making me happy every time I put it on! :)

Thanks Jeanna! I think this color combo is flattering for a lot of people, and I always think of my grandpa, who also loved pink and grey together. Over six feet tall, a football coach from Texas, and he was totally man enough to love the color pink. Gotta love that! <3
