When? October 23, 2012
What for? A teaching day at the library. I actually got quite a few compliments on my outfit today — always a great feeling! Dresses are so easy, aren’t they? I’ve worn this dress with grey tights before (seen here), but I think this is the first time paired with navy tights — such a visual impact! I love this dress, picked up spur-of-the-moment at an H&M store years ago, because of its special, vintage-y details like the shoulders and the cuffs. Classic with a bit of quirkiness. Like me.
Details?
- Dress: H&M, Chicago trip, 2007
- Navy tights: American Apparel, last winter
- Flats: DKNY via Macy’s, last fall
- Silver hoops: Kohl’s?, years ago

The dress is fun! It almost looks like you have on a vest with it.
Wow, I had never thought about it like that, like it kind of looks like a vest over a dress. Now I love the dress even more!
You have seriously great taste in dresses. I love this one!
Wow, thanks so much, Gracey! I was used to separates for so long, and for the past few years, I have been delving more into dresses — and finding ways to layer them, as well!
So, so pretty. Love the dress and the colours. So cute!!
Thanks Miriam! I always feel good in this dress
