Happy Friday! Today I am participating in the back-to-school linkup over at Section 391, co-hosted by fellow librarian style bloggers Amber @ Section 391 and Shelley @ Miss Lady Librarian. You can also participate by linking up — and you don’t have to be a librarian!
Even though my college doesn’t start fall term until the end of September (thank you, Oregon, for following the actual seasons!), I am finally starting to get excited about fall, which always makes me look forward to boots and sweaters. Ahhh, the perfect cardigan weather. (I am a librarian. Loving cardigans is almost part of the job description! )
Anyway, here are a couple of sneak peeks at my submission. For a look at my complete outfit — and other great back-to-school ensembles — head on over to Section 391. See y’all there!
I kept my hair simple — the start of school is stressful enough! — by doing an easy variation of the half-up, half-down style. I pulled the top half back into a ponytail, secured it with an elastic, braided it, and then looped the braid around into a loose bun, which I then secured with a few U-shaped bobby pins.
I bought these patent leather tortoiseshell wedges — say that three times fast! — as my back-to-school shoe purchase, and I am in love already. Add a tweed herringbone purse, and you’re set for fall!
